If I understand the question, a product owner/designer/developer can tell if their customer finds their product unsatisfactory by spending time with them — observing use, digging into why.

I would encourage the product team to listen — but also to maintain focus on clarity of product vision. Customers will always want one more thing, so it’s important that the team holds the vision and evaluates new inputs through that lens: does this align with the product mission? Is this in service to solving our most important problem? Is this friction greater than the value we deliver?

Customer input is an amazing gift — but also a dangerous temptation to “go do” without understanding why. In short — it can be noise.

But in your case, I’m sure you’re right. *wink*
